Hi there,
if I'm not mistaken at one time The Mule came in a single coil size too? Now, I was wondering if this would be possible for a Cold Sweat also?
I have a Jackson PCS Dinky with full maple body. I replaced the standard (very low output) Jackson neck/middle sc's with a SD HotRails/ CoolRails respectively. I'm considering replacing them with something Cold Sweat 'alike'.
Any hints?
Thanks

The Mule came in a mini humbucker size (for a while) same as you find in the gibson Firebird, but that is larger than single coil.
Unfortunitely (or fortunitely dependant on your viewpoint) there are no single coil sized humbuckers in the BKP range.
However there are some pretty powerful single coil options available.

ow, I see what format you're referring to. Too bad. :(

Yeah, BKP don't make any Strat or Tele sized humbuckers - neither the stacked type nor the side-by-side type like the Hot Rails. So if you really want humbucking pickups for your Jackson, BKP don't cover that area.
If you don't actually mind single-coils then there's plenty to consider. I've always been fussy about single-coil hum so I've tried lots of things like Duncan stacks, Lace Sensors, Joe Bardens, Kinmans and DiMarzio HS and Virtual Vintages. But I have to admit true single-coils sound better (although the Kinmans and VVs are very good!). I've just caved in and bought a set of Irish Tours (but not wired them up yet).
If you're after something powerful and more capable of competing with humbuckers, Trilogies might be worth a look - I've never tried them but you'll find lots of info on the forum.
