I pretty much asked the question in the topic title. A straight forward answer would be appreciated thanks :)

I don't think its a case of which would be better as that depends on preference.
The mahogany body guitar is going to be a heavier wood so you would get more low end tones maybe abit more bass too.
As for the basswood body it is quite light weight so you would probably find that it would make the highs in the tones abit higher and pronounced
But in both types you are still going to get a fast/tight bass response as the MM has a Ceramic magnet.

you gotta know what wood do you prefer
some people prefer this pup on basswood, but for my tastes, mahogany will always be better for most pickups

I don't usually match pickups with guitars, I usually have a guitar then go for pickups. But I have two choices for what the guitar will be. A basswood or mahogany guitar.
But from responses I think basswood is more my thing. But I suppose if I did go for mahogany I'd get a little bit of everything.

Has the Basswood guitar got a trem?
I was talking to tim about a Basswood guitar, and he said:
"Basswood is relatively neutral to bright with a trem so you can comfortably go quite hot" He recommended me a C Pig or PK. But it probably depends on what you want from it as to what wood to choose.

No, neither have trems. And I already have the MMs, lol..

Try them in both :) All is costs is a set of strings and maybe an hour of your life.

And a guitar, I don't own either.

I thought you put Miracle man set in an ibanez with flowery front?

That was the intial idea before matters rose and I didn't put them in. And Tim recommended them for it, and it's basswood too so I think I'm gonna go with basswood
