Title: Joey Molland's Badfinger & Cactus
Post by: broken cord on October 11, 2008, 04:00:24 PM
I went to B.B. King's in NYC last night and saw Joey Molland's Badfinger and Cactus. Man what a show, one of my old local home town gutiar hero's Richie Scarlet, (The self proclaimed Emperor of Rock & Roll )warmed the crowd up, and then Joey Molland took the stage. It appeared as if Molland had a lot of fun and his playing seemed pretty spot on.

Cactus didn’t have Jim McCarty with them, but Werner Fritzschings who played on the Cactus ‘Ot-N-Sweaty LP did an excellent job. However, Fritzschings could use a little more personality when he plays, the man never seems to smile, just a dead-pan yeah I can play type of look on his face.

The beers were a tad pricy and I am feeling the shock and awe in my wallet, and head this morning as I am at work. All n all it was a good time.

That is so true. Joey said straight out the Pete Ham wrote all their biggest hits.
