Title: Pickups for my Ash Ibanez rg
Post by: CrankedMarshall on October 13, 2008, 03:53:12 PM
Im looking for a bridge and neck pickup to bring my RG alive.

Compared to my Holy diver loaded strat the rg sounds bland with its EMG's.

Im looking for a warm 80's metal sounds, lotsa crunch but tight.

And in the neck I just need a smooth lead tone with great sustain.

I had the Cold sweat set before in another strat that I loved, so I was thinking of getting these or the painkiller set.

Suggestions?

cheers tony

80s rock tone says it all, the Nail Bomb! since im sure the album its based on was actually from the 80s :)

1994, but it does seem to be a great DiMarzio-beater in those RG style guitars!  :)
