Bare Knuckle Pickups Forum

So, I just joined this forum to get some recommendations on which particular pickups I should be looking into. I'm primarily a bass player and I've been playin guitar for about 8 months, but I'm well aware of what kind of tone I want.
I'm currently using a DiMarzio Super Distortion pickup on my bridge and I love it. A friend of mine recommended I try out a Bare Knuckle and I'm definitely willing to try something new. I'm looking to keep that heavy/gainy distortion sound that the Super Dist. puts out. What would be a good alternative?
Also I have the stock neck pickup (x_x) from the guitar which sounds like poop, any other recommendations for a good neck pickup that can give me a nice glassy tone?

PS. Running this through an Engl Invader 150 with a BC Rich Bronze Warlock (*sigh*...i know i know)

But with those heavy riffs I would probably go for a Ceramic Warpig for the bridge, I would definately use that if I was playing that stuff.
I don't know so much about the Miracle Man or Nailbomb.
But this is my two cents :)

Any reason why the Ceramic would make a difference as to the standard Wpig? Thanks for the replies btw.

Another thing to add. I checked out the warpig, I'm also not sure which type I'm looking for. There's 4 different options:
Calibrated Covered Set
Calibrated Open Set
Covered
Open Poled
Either way I can figure out the size I need, but I'm not sure if I need a short or long leg and what type of conductor as well? Thanks.

OK. The Ceramic in the Ceramic Warpig makes it MUUUUUCH tighter.
Calibrated Covered/Open = Just a matching set of a Warpig in the neck and bridge.
Opened/Covered = There isn't much difference, up to you really. Preference.
If you don't know the length of leg (for example, the length of the Super Distortion) than it's safer to go with short leg. However it'll just be a little bitchier getting the screw in as there's more spring back cause the spring would have to compress more.
Oh, and four conductor if you wanna do stuff like splitting or parallel and all that jazz. I would go for four and tape up the wires you don't need.
So yes! WARPIG!
