Hi everyone ! Who has ever tested the two models ? ...I want to play blues and rock and already have a strat texas special(for srv texas sound !!!)...so I want a real telecaster 52 sound, not a thin nocaster sound...I also want to play Pink Floyd or Dire straits too.....I never use distorsion pedal just a Daimond MK 3 overdrive(very smooth )...can someone tell me his point of view.....Someone who uses the Blackguard Flat 50 set on a Telecaster custom japan 62 reissue, like me...thanks......belo

Hi, welcome to the forum :D
I haven't tried a Brown Sugar, but I have got a Blackguard Flat 50 set that I'm very happy with. I put them in a Baja Classic Player tele - and (as far as I can tell) they're giving me a great early tele sound, fat but still biting - for what I want they're much better than the original pickups, which were good, but a little thin for my liking.
I play blues/rock as well, and I've got Irish Tours in a 62 re-issue strat. They replaced the Texas Specials that were stock. I liked the Texas Specials but the ITs have just a bit more "air" to them. SRV, Dire Straits and Rory come out of both the strat and the tele quite well now :D (don't do much Pink Floyd)
I'm guessing we play the same sort of sounds, so I'd say you wouldn't be disappointed with Blackguards. Someone else will have to sing the praises of the Brown Sugars

Can't comment on the Brown Sugars, but we have BlackGuards (52 flat) in our Tele and they are a really great tele pup.
And Andy is right on IT's, they make a great strat sound. :)
