Title: Gator cases are great

Hi,

I have a little story to tell.  Tonight I parked my car up outside a mates flat on the road.  One of my guitars a faded SG was in the boot in a gator case.  I left it there and went to see my mate.  After  being at mates flat for about an hour he looked out the window and said "your car".  I looked out the window to see fire brigade,poilce and ambulance outside.  A car had gone into the back of mine.  I got everything sorted with them  and hopefully the lady driving the car will be ok.  After the lady had gone to hospital i examined my car and guitar which was in the boot.   My car is a right off,  my guitar does not have a scatch on it.  Thus I have got to say WOW thats some gator case.

That is pretty baddass.  They should make that company policy to say "if our cases are hit buy a car your guitar will endure" and insure guitars under that basis.  I say you mail in that story to Gator and see what they have to say.

Good idea !!

I have to say that my Les Paul lives in a Gator case, and it seems at least as strong as the Hiscox case that I have for my strat.

Great story - reminds me of this one on the PRS forum.  A fire at a blokes house, 800 degrees.  The only gutar that survived was a PRS in its case:

Cool story, sorry about the car though.  I wonder what would happen if both cars were made of gator case...

And before Fernando comes in, none of this happened unless there are pics! :lol:

Ha ha a friend of mine ran over his Rg in a gator case and he was like holy Sh## but the guitar was fine and the case was alright too. Gator is the way to go.

Hiscox for life, Gator have allways seemed a little flimsy compared...

Cheers for the replys guys. Insurance company has got me a hire car now .  I have started having a look round for a replacemnet car.  Its so much more fun  shoping for guitars though.
