What are you looking at? I can certainly vouch for the Japanese Fenders, I have two now.
I bought a 62 reissue Fiesta Red strat last year. Alder body, Texas Specials. I got it "grey market" new, in Denmark St, for £550. Same day I tried an "SRV" 62 reissue that I see this guy has one of at the moment - it was every bit as good as mine, but I don't like gold hardware. In fact all the ones I tried that day were of a consistent quality.
I've also just managed to find a Fender Japan 52 reissue tele in a second hand shop in Croydon (better deal than this guy, but this was one of those lucky one-off finds) - again same high build quality and tone...
I've never yet bought a guitar without trying it first - but this guy is tempting me.

that tele.. its just what i want.. ive agreed to buy it.. sending the cash tomorrow.
he seems pretty legit, and he is talked about quite widely on the internet.
that tele.. it is exactly what i want.. and at a price i can afford.. so i just had to do it

I have just come to this thread. I think this guy is very respectable -I know of someone who bought from him and apparently it all went well. I think I am right in saying that he was able to try it out first- I think he lives in Essex as the friend of a friend who bought the guitar does.
