Title: Stratocaster Sinners
Post by: thickskinned on October 20, 2008, 05:04:21 PM
Ok there doesn't seem to be any good sound clips for the Sinners set so I thought I would contribute.
This is recorded through Gearbox Gold bundle on a 'Frankenstrat' with calibrated Sinners set.
The main rhythm is doubled and panned 10 o'clock / 2 o'clock using bridge pickup.
The lead (1st part) is panned central using bridge pickup.
The lead (2nd part) is panned central using neck pickup and the 3rd uses both pickups together.
Oh and its a drop D tuning.
Hope it gives you some idea of how much power these single coils have.
Enjoy>

great playing, and cool track. the tone is a little bit undefined on the really low chugging notes, but i expect this might be your modeller (?). anyway, its a very powerful sound, and a very compelling advert for the sinner. lead section sounds marvellous, still quite stratty, yet the chords sounds as thick and strong as a humbucker.

Yeah the modeller is no replacement for a mic'd amp but its a lot easier to set up once the PC is on anyway ha ha.
Thanks for the positive comments anyway - much appreciated
SINNERS by name SINNERS by nature

i think that sounds pretty damn spot on, ive been hankering for some high output single coils since i split my X2N.

that straighforward ness of a single coil with the dirt and power... it sounds like a layer of something is scr@ped away when i switch from Hum to Single with my X2N and thats what you have there.. just the goodness..

think i need to get something with single coils... just spent a good £460 on a tele.. maybe i need a strat next...
