I have been on the web site checking it out and I have got to get a Diezel VH4 or Herbert head and a 4x12 Cab.
I will forever do away with my Marshall and V-Twin.
That amp and a SG loaded with WARPIGS aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.
I have finally found what I am looking for.
The heavy sound is awesome yes but to be able to get a clean sound like that from an amp like that is scary. :D

I played a VH-4 for months @ band rehearsal. It's a great sounding head, lots of flexible, pretty versatile sound. Ultimately, not my cup of tea, and it looks butt ugly, but it probably has the best footswitch I've ever seen in a head!
I recently switced to using a Roccaforte HG100 head; that's worth checking out, as well, but it's only 1 channel, and not nearly as flexible as the VH-4.

What was it that you didn't get on with and what have you turned to now?

Sorry, edited my 1st post.
At home and on recordings, I use a Rivera 100W Knucklehead stack and an old JCM800 50W head.
For ME, the tone is just too congested and 'modern' sounding. That's not to say that it wouldn't be perfect for you, tho! I just prefer a more open-sounding head.
