Had my B6 for a little while now, coming over to a month, and no pics or vids. I've just been tattoo'ed so no playing for a little bit, as my arms are quite sticky/scabby/painful but will hopefully have a video up soon enough.
First pics are of my single piece quilted mahogany B2 with ceramic warpigs. The second pics are of my swamp ash B6 with painkillers.
Enjoy!

aaah, thanks :)
that makes absolute sense,
you should then get a brown or black one :D

That figured Mahogany is beautiful. Isn't it a snakewood board too?
-
amazing guitars!
-
excellent! :)
-
Cheers guys! Glad you are digging them.
I have to say its hard to decide which is my fav. The ash one is going to be great for live use, as its so light and great tone, playablity etc, while the one with the snakewood board(correctly pointed out) means more to me, and I dont really want anything bad happening to it. They both play great, sound great, just kind of different. Purely on how long Ive had it, I would have to go with the mahogany one.

Blackmachines are the only quilted/posh guitars I would ever consider owning, they just look so good :) Quality, rather than cheap tacky quilt.
-
yeah they look nice... but what we really need is a photo of the mahogany one in front of your door - preferably with the house number nice and visable... and if you could just walk down the street and get a photo of the ash one next to your street sign that would be great. Cheers!

Beautiful guitars but I am not sure what to make of the headstocks. I am more of a traditionalist, but there is something inherently wicked about those! :D
-
They look very tasty! I bet your holding afew grands worth there! How's you band doing?
-
8) I agree with Roo! hehehehe

Well Dez you know what I think about your axes, hehe. Awesome pics. I'd have to say my fave is the Mahog, it's beautiful!

I haven't played "metal" since I was twenty.
And Blackmachine Guitars make me want to play metal...
:guitar4:
Steady there, Mark. Go make yourself a nice cup of tea.
-
I just love them.
The understated look. The superb sound and playability. The ultimate guitars imo, Doug's taken ideas that Parker and the like have had, and perfected them. Truly awesome.
-
Those are absolutely delicious.

More to stop the strings ringing out from behind the nut in this case though. It's an inherent problem with reverse headstock guitars.
You really have de-grubbified your B2 a fair bit, good to see the brothers out in sunlight.

I don't want to be the lone dissenting voice... I'm sure they're wonderfully made but Blackmachines don't do anything for me at all, except for the beautiful but subtle look of the timbers.
Glad everyone else likes them though.

Build-wise, they are reverse way that I go on MY guitars... I like fat neck and don't care too much about weight (I'm about 290lb ), but they look very well built with nice woods, I like the look... If I ever ask for Doug build a guitar to me, the neck would be alike 1" thick
