Title: TWO Ibanez, Endless Joy (NGsD)
Post by: Jonny on October 29, 2008, 12:00:18 PM
Before I spam pictures, I know people are gonna think "Weren't you going for a Warmoth?" "Weren't you going custom?" "Weren't you this, that, etc." "Weren't you that dude on the train, heading towards Wales with the laptop of Bill Bailey performing "Insect Nation" and that babbling baby in front of you which you wanted to smack out the window?"

"Yes"

BUT..

I thought thoroughly and decided to get Ibanez, I had played them before and getting a Warmoth would probably take me until I actually got my degree in University and only then would they e-mail me back.

So- brief explanation done and over with. PICS! Excuse the camera phone, I really need a good proper camera for photos/recording.

Ibanez #1 (Is there going to be #2? Just wait and see)

Great call. is that in the seude black? I've never seen one in that colour. Looks awesome. I have it Mirage Blue. :)

It's in Mirage Red, which is discontinued as far as I re-call. So yay for me! I didn't so much like the Mirage Blue but the guitar was so awesome that I didn't bother about the finish. However I guess it's even luckier that I got it in red :D

I like red guitars..

verrrry nice..

i had an RG550ex a few years ago, played beautifully.. the neck took a bit of gettin used to.. but after that its a dream.

i swapped the pickups out for SDs (the classic JB/Jazz and a staggered middle) before i sold it.

Congrats

I've got an early 90's MIJ 570 with a Warpig/Trilogy/Fred combo.

Only warning - Replace the lousy Ibanez barrel jack socket with a switchcraft!

Any one in particular you would recommend Dave?

The jack socket is quite tight on this one, as tight as.. nevermind.

I'm planning to put my MMs into it. Possibly getting them switched to open coils.

Single coil surely -  :P

Nice guitar
the jack will be fine , but if it does get loose and start cutting out - swap it over to a switchcraft one as Afghan suggested

Nice guitar, glad you like it.

Sometimes when you can't make your mind up & analysis paralysis sets in, the best thing is to JFDI :)

The sickness!!  I am not sure about that sparkle though, looks a bit dodgy to me.

The sparkle changes, it's mainly red. But it goes orange and then green and stuff.

I had MMs previously and then I bought a SC off Tom so hopefully I can get that in there too! It'll be a death riffing machine of er- fluffy bunnies.

I've developed a bit of a thing for the current line of RGs - great guitars in all ways, bar pickups (and if I'm being picky the location of the volume - it fouls my picking hand). I've been gassing for one for a while now.

Congrats

The RG7321 has wobbly jack socket syndrome, (but I know what to do with it) apart from that, it's a beauty :)
I just need money for upgrades now, which won't be till after Christmas probably.

noice. Would be cooler with a maple fretboard and black markers though :P

I have gas for one of these RGA121s for some reason, I just cant get on with ibanez necks very well

Nice buys mate!

Ibanez have always held up well for me and you can get pretty much any sound you want with HSH pickup config.
