Title: You know thoes times when you look for something in past threads??
Post by: Spitfire on November 05, 2008, 11:42:27 PM
I rememberd seeing a strat i thought was one of the hottest guitars ive seen... you know when that happens, you know its in a thread somewhere but you cant find it in searches...

well.. i stumbled upon it... so thought id inflict the pic of it on you guys...

that is full of WIN!....GAS levels are now THROUGH THE ROOF!

I really have a thing for white guitars... id think twice over the floyd tho.. probably stick with a traditional strat bridge.. and 3 singles come to think of it.. i like the look of the floyd and HSH.. but i dont think id go for it in a strat for me

There's a body in the Warmoth showcase right now that pretty much fits the spec of Mick's guitar, off white, HSH and a Floyd route (although its hard to tell but I don't think Mick's is recessed). http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/sc_guitar_bodies.cfm?type=guitar&start=1&itemNumber=PS3318&menuItem=1&subMenuItem=2&subMenuItem2=0&bodyWood_filter=2&laminateWood_filter=1 (http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/sc_guitar_bodies.cfm?type=guitar&start=1&itemNumber=PS3318&menuItem=1&subMenuItem=2&subMenuItem2=0&bodyWood_filter=2&laminateWood_filter=1)

I like everything about it... except the Floyd.

+1. My strat GAS is close to exploding at the moment. So close that I may need to trade other stuff (and guitars) to get this:

I know I shouldn't but I really want to!

If you've got the cash or stuff to trade, go for it!

Just don't go getting yourself into debt in the current economic climate...

I do have the stuff Philly - it would involve my 70s tele though. I'm really not sure it's a good idea although my tele plays nowhere near as well as my strat. This is the reason I am seriously considering it.

Ah, forgot your Tele was a vintage piece.  If I were you I'd be reluctant to part with it, but on the other hand V&R would give you a good p/x price, judging by Twinfan's experience.

Damn this GAS. Part of me knows that I should get the tele off to somebody to get it all set up properly, frets seen to etc so that it plays nicely and I have a reason not to part with it. The other part of me knows that I should get the strat.

GAS is awful.
