"But he didn't choose to be morbidly obese."
unless he has a medical condition then, err.. yes he did

'Michel Lapointe - also known as Big Mike - was set free three months before his scheduled release date because his 30st weight was making prison life "hell".'
Isnt that the whole point? Prison should be hell for them. It makes me sick that prisoners and the like get off so easy. If i was the warden and that fat guy kept complaining that he was too overweight for prison id give him bread and water every day so he loses weight. They only deserve bread and water in my eyes anyway.

"Lapointe reportedly could not fit his legs under the prison tables for meals and his mattress was too narrow to accommodate his bulk."
I think he could stand to miss a few meals amirite!?

Two series? You must have a low boredom threshold, I lasted about 3 episodes.
But just think how many sets of prison blueprints the Prison Break bloke could have tattooed on his body if he was that size....

The first season is great, how can you not like it?!

Oh god, all that bullsh!t where he'd know there was a loose screw under the third sink on the right in bathroom #2 (because it was tattooed on his arse). Then he'd fetch it, file it on the floor and make it into a key or a hanglider or something....
And that T-Bag(?) bloke constantly going "Your ass is gonna be mine bitch...". Yawn, no prison cliches here then.
I know it's popular, I know I'm going to be a lone voice here, but it's cack. And I don't like Lost or Heroes either. :P

Think I will join you in the lonely room Philly. What is good about bad TV is that I have no excuse to not play guitar!

I've gotta agree, It is utter cack, my mates rave about it, heroes too, and they just bore me to death.
The first 2 lost series were brill but now it's also total arse gravy.

I know its all cr@p and totally unrealistic but I love it anyway - all four seasons (so far) Same as with 24. Cant get into Heroes, I liked the first season of that but got bored of s2.
Speaking of american tv, anyone like The Shield? Vic Mackey is such a badass :P
-
The Shield is OK. At least it's a relatively traditional cop show with some different stories every week, instead of having several "mysterious" continuing plot threads which go on and on forever and NEVER get resolved....

It also has Vic Macky, who's a total legend. Rarely watch it, but when I do it's great.

That show was bound to fail. The whole premise was totally rediculous. How can you make a lasting thing out of breaking out of prison? O, that's right, by breaking back in... fvcking rediculous. A movie may have sufficed.
-
Season 4 isnt actually about breaking out of prison, its about something related to why they were in prison in the first place :P

thats the problem aint it... i thought i made sense as a good escape plot for the first series... and then i guess the convicts on the loose plot of the second series made sense too. They had the perfect story just there. But hey, it was doing well, lets drag it on for another few pointless series and drag the original plot way past were it needed to go.
Thats why i like stuff like BSG, 4 series, a few specials and 1 large story arc that is actually coming to a meaningfull end and never really strayed from it - cant wait for the end of it in january!!
Lost did loose me in the end but i might be tempted back if it starts going somewhere, but they have said they wont even try and answer everything so i am not sure i can be bothered. I like heroes but the second series had obvious issues and the 3rd isnt great so far
Fringe is OK, but it is just the X-files... it could be good, verdict is out!
I have 4 hours of the wire left to watch, thats great TV
