That clips to the headstock and works with vibration of the guitar. Its quality, I love it. Cheap as chips, no cable, its got a mic mode, but you dont need it, just leave it there when recording to make sure youre in tune all the time. Marvelous.
Verdict: Two Thumbs Fresh

There it is.
-
Sweet! Is it accurate?
-
Yep, as any other I've used. Edit - that is to say as the best of the 10-20 quid type stuff I'e had/have.

Cheaper off amazon, where I got it.

I have an intellitouch one that lives on my acoustic. So handy that something so small and cheap can do something so useful. Pretty kickass invention, pretty much every musician at every session I go to owns at least 1, bet its a good money maker for whomever invented it.
It's fun to tune other things with it too like glasses of water, I guess it can tune anything that it can clip onto and has a it of sustain.
-
I tried a clip on tuner opposed to that one, but I do agree. Clip on tuners are 'rad'
-
Yep, I've got one as well - it's the tuner I use most now :D
-
I'd rather use a floor/stage tuner for electric for some reason but for acoustic it might be nice. They do look a bit ugly though but I guess that doesnt matter if you take it off after youve tuned up.
-
I have one of those clip on Intellitouch tuners. Works really well and is pretty accurate, but you gotta keep a fresh battery in there specially if your gigging
-
Not as new and unkown as I thought!
But still, hopefully some folks that didnt know about it are now availed of its existance, and all round goodness.
Mine is basically attached to whatever guitar I'm using at the time.

i quite often use the clip on mic with my peterson stroboflip just because its normally closer than a lead... its just as accurate for general tuning purposes but i do plug in properly for intonation and stuff like that
-
i, too, have one of the clip on tuners. my sister also has one which she uses on a harp. they're both identical, but different brands. they generally work very well, although they do seem to struggle with the occasional note, presumably due to the resonance of the individual instrument.
