The level of craftsmanship is unbelievable, couldnt find anything to fault Bob on, the fit and finish (and setup) is spot on. Its got sweet contours on the body and the neck joint is one of the most comfy and accessible i've played. The Wizard style maple neck feels amazing, really fast and should get nice and grubby after a few months of hard playing :D
One thing which you cant see in the photos is some extra detailing like the carbon fibre effect back plates and the headstock... its not painted black, its a piece of ebony veneer, and has a really nice grain running through it!!! And the flaming on the fingerboard is really sweet aswell.
Oh and it came in a swish black\gold logo'd Legra case.. nice!
Sound wise the Nailbomb is great, i had a quick play this morning, so not been able to get used to tweaking up my new JCM 800 (thanks Tim!) and the Mass attenuator etc, but so far it sounds great, got a brilliant power metal tone! (had it on Master 5, pre 10.. it was CRANKED hehe) The Mothers Milk is really vintagey sounding, very nice indeed (mmm milky!).
Also got my Guitarport so once i've played abit etc i'll bung some clips up and stuff :D
I'd HIGHLY recommend Bobs work to anyone thinking of a custom axe, the proof is in the playing... and unless this one falls apart in a couple of days ( ) the playing is always gonna be good!!!
Now, soon as 10pm roles round i can get off work and blow some eardrums

That looks wicked!!
I love the ESP style headstock!
-
Very Nice!
-
So nice! I wish I could afford a custom guitar right about now! I cant find anywhere to work though!
-
NICE!!! Is that a hard ash body? Please could you post a short review of the Nailbomb in that guitar? I have a hard ash Strat so I'm very interested how the NB sounds in ash... that Strat still doesn't have any pickups in it, so...
-
glad you like it Chris!
Now hook us up with some photos and clips!
-
:D Yer nice one Chris looks the B*ll*cks !! can`t wait to hear what it sounds like
Nice One Bob my congrats i noticed you appear to have used 6 bolts on the neck/body joint any particular reason ?

I use six fixings to increase the clamping load so that the neck has better acoustic coupling to the body. There are lots of other little detail features in the neck joint as well and the mating surfaces are left unfinished to promote the same end result.

Congrats. I look forward to hearing more once you have had a chance to have a decent go on it. Looks beautiful.

-
still a long way till i get mine.
and man i miss the guitar port =(
have fun with it man
-
thats so awesome. Bet she sounds amazing! looks as good! Can someone explain to me exactly what guitarport does, and how its different from a POD. (I'm not really up to date with the digi-scene - sorry if i sound like a total retard  )
-
its a software podxt :)
and you can download the latest patches etc to update the sounds. It also works as a recording interface (can even bypass the amp modelling).
best part is you can go online, and get play along lessons and songs, and the software changes the tones for you as you play along and stuff :D

Does that mean i could plug the DI from my amp into it? That sounds so cool for practice!!! I'm gonna do some more reading about it.
-
it has to be pluged into the computer as it runs the software.. but the output you can put either on speakers, headphones, line in of your amp etc etc etc
really cool thing

That's a fooking lovely guitar Chrisola! Nice one man, I bet you feel on top of the world.
Top job Bob! Looks amazing!
