Hey guys I am pleased with my CS set. I am looking to get my alnico 2 pros switched. So I am wondering what set of pickups I should get.
I want that vintage sound, but with a serious vintage growl. like bright, and HUGE and handles distortion well. Nothing Death Metal or anything just some hard Rock ACDC-Rhoads-Slash-Joe Perry. Some great rock. What do you all think

No seriously, Crawlers

That sounds like Crawlers.
like bright
That doesn't.
To look at it another way, what are you after that your Cold Sweats don't do? It might be easier to approach the question from that direction.

Bright, hot PAF to my ears sounds like a VH2.
I agree with Philly, however -- More information like guitar type/amp would be appreciated.

Hot with a PAF tonality sounds like Crawlers to me - a great all-rounder.
Haven't tried VHII's or Riff Raffs so can't say, but I hear they're both hot PAFs with a brighter edge, so either would fit the bill.
Black Dogs are too dark AND bright at the same time (wierd) for me - didn't like this pickup at all (sorry).

You're allowed, but they sound awsome in our Wez build. :D

les paul 2 is where they would go
i Really like the cs neck pickup of the set, and the bridge is nice too, which is fine for the guitar its in,
I like the neck pickup like I said, and was wondering if there was a set that has that nice vintage sound with a bit more shove sorry about not saying that earlier.

I haven't tried all bk pups, but given what you want and what I know, I'd say you would not be dissapointed with Crawlers.
-
For my money I'd go with Black Dog's they sound awesome in my les paul.

I'd join the chorus recommending Crawlers -- great hot PAF vibe, with a bit more in the mids, to cut through -- though ... thinking of the word "bright" in the description ... wouldn't the Abraxas be pretty much straight-up hot PAF and perhaps a touch brighter than the Crawlers? (Though Crawlers do rule! 8))

Calibrated set Rebel Yells.

ooh - lots of conflicting views here.......
I think that as wonderful as the Crawler is - it may not seem all that bright in a Les Paul - more of a smooth kind of sound.
I just fitted some VH2s to a Les Paul today and it was exactly what Mikey is describing
Hotter PAF with more brightness .
I would say that the VH2 seems to have a bit more of everything
The overwind tends to make it fat in the mids , but the offset between the two coils (slightly different number of turns of wire on each coil) opens up the top end response (and and to some extent also the bottom) .
A Les Paul will have plenty of low end and low mid anyway.
Great sound!
