Hey!-
that "old" 'help-me-name-this-axe' thread is still kicking around, so I want to announce again that I fell in love w/the "CHUPA CABRA" moniker, my customer dug it too, and post a 'finished & fitted up' photo...
I'm lacquering it's soul mate today-it's one of an identical pair I built for the rhythm guitarist in my band.
It plays so well that it's been a challenge to make the 2nd one with the same feel ( & look, too, dammit!-I'm kicking myself for going crackers with the paint job-payback time!-AAARRRGH!)
-Thanks again for all the feedback, that thread had me rolling around on the floor several tymes...hehehehe....
-Ringing the bell for virtual pints-of-joy all the way around!
-SKÅL, me muckers!
-Drac, immigrant tundra trash
ps: that's a BK WARPIG ceramic 'uncovered' in the catbird's seat...
-
Is that V in the background one of yours too???? :?:
-
wtf! that's not a guitar! that's a medieval weapon! I frigging love it though, i bet that thing sounds heavy as hell
-
Cheers, mates!-
HJM:yeah the Vee is my live axe...Also Warpigged ( stock covered)
-
MailiciousSteve:My original idea was to name it after these african throwing axes-they look like Warcraft stuff-looks like ye'd need a DogBiting suit to get close enough to wear it, but it hangs nicely-...erm....
-yeah.-
best of me best from Drac...
-
Looks killer! Cool tats too. :good:
-
Blasphemous design
must have a unholy tone too
Q:p
Unholy congratulations!
ahahahahaa
hails Profane Desgins!

you know what it reminds me of? a German Iron Cross. the shape, the lighter coloured bevels around the black body, the striped bit is like the ribbon. Iron Cross 2nd class. but without the swastika, obviously.
perhaps that's just me though - i've been reading a lot about militaria recently :P
-
Awesome looking beast Drac! I'd love to try one out at a show, you could do some serious aural and bodily assault :D
-
I think the next one should be in the shape of a nice pink flower or maybe Bambi shaped.
-
that axe is BAD ASS!
-
I've never ever seen a scarier looking axe than that of which ye hold! Hehe! sound clips please!
-
Me neither! It looks mental! I'd love a go on one!
Can you imagine being in a band that has to play a wedding for a load of stuck up posh bar-stewards and getting that thing out and going ffing mental with it through a cranked up high gain valve stack!! I'd do it!

It's nice to see that the Viking thing is still alive and well!!!!! :D
-
Truly...truly gifted.
I might have to pay you to re-create that kick ass v in the background!!!
That could take an eye out from a hundered yards!!!
Keep up the good work!
-
very smart!
whens your website going to be up Drac??
And also... how does a 27" scale play compared to a normal scale?
Is it more like playing a Bass than a guitar???? (those lower frets look wide and difficult to play?)
-
Mates-
-I'm glad to hear rumblings from Blighty...
been missing you lot-
-Chrisola: 27"scale is very ,very comfortable- you'd be surprised how naturally one adjusts- the lower/open positions take a little adjusting to-
but what really feels nice is the upper frets-it's great spreading things out for big hands...I'm a believer, and plannig on 'up'-sizing ASAP...
-Check out the larger scales!- increased tension and clarity for slacktuning-
- YEAH!-
-Website- a bit in limbo, but stay tuned...I have my domain name, and looking for an egghead to put it together for me, and give me the keys-hopefully trading guitarwork for net chops...
-TooHop: at yer service, mate...
-several of my axes are hitting the auction blocks before long-
too many guitars...ye know how it is. I want to keep 'em all.
I have a mind to post some here- when I hit the 100 mark with my posts...Gotta sell some off to build my next 'uns...
Guitars: like pokemon for grownups...gotta catch 'em all, ye know.
