Eddie pimping the latest of his revolutionary Fender products.... :? :?
"New" Wolfgang guitar, “Drop To Hell” (D2H) tailpiece, limited edition Frankenstein relic pickup and striped EVH brand sneakers.

Well... it's better than making music for a living... Except for the odd porn movie soundtrack. PDT_033 PDT_047 PDT_038

No, it's not the same... now it has this hideous "Peavey cutted" headstock...
-
Well spotted... Does it remind you of anything?
-
Oooh, I HATE that headstock! "Small details have been changed in idiotic ways for copyright reasons".
-
This just makes me want a MusicMan Axis even more...

+1 on every word...
It's not possible that EVH can't sign a contract that the drawn of his guitar is HIS, not the company... If it's a strat, LP, ok, the design existed before him, but if I remember correctly, this design was made when he sign with Peavey...

They just get worse each update
I like some of the old Peavey ones.
This one looks much nicer: http://www.myspace.com/soundsgreatmusic

Hmm i thought the Wolfgang was more a less a contoured rip off of the EVH Axis?

I'm sure Edward would say the EVH/Axis was his design and then he took it to Peavey and "improved" it.
In fact I suspect the design was mostly down to Dudley Gimpel and Sterling Ball, with a bit of input from Ed, then he fell out with them (probably because he wasn't making enough money out of it) and went to Peavey who basically, as you say, made him a rip-off of the EVH/Axis. They even copied the truss-rod adjustment device, which was totally unique to EB/MM.

Hummm good to know! :D

I had 2 USA Wolfgangs and they were both great guitars. The better one though was an earleir PRE-PATENT Trans Purple, the birdseye neck was awesome. I compared that guitar to 3 MM's... 2 EVH's and 1 std. I actaully prefered the Wolf... I've no reason to be biased as I'm not an EVH nut and I was not concerned with collectable value.... infact I sold them both because although they were superb... both sound and playability, I just prefer LP's. Do my LP's play as well... NO, but they sound better. As I'm not a speed machine I sold them... if I were, it may have been a different story. Solid as a rock and if I had to tune them every couple of weeks... that was all. If I had any gripes, it was the pick ups.... other than that they were darn good.

Perhaps the headstock doubles as a bottle opener.

That could save Ed's new teeth from ending up as bad as his old ones.

Apparently the reason he left EBMM was because they could not keep production up to the demands for the guitar.
But I've no idea where i heard that, i think it was an interview somewhere.
Though that still boils down to money being the factor.

I heard that he was pissed again at a concert and smashed a guitar or, EB company didn't like him trating the guitars like that and they had words and parted ways? I'm sure there are all manner of stories... take your pick. :?
