Simple question - I've just been cleaning and restringing a guitar for a friend and the nut is loose - as in no longer attached to the guitar - what should I use to stick it back on? I am guessing that I want something that is fairly solid but could eventually be removed if required - any advice appreciated - many thanks

Super glue (at most 2 drops) or the glue woodworkes use to glue woods, can't remember the name now... worked all night and need sleep :orczz:

yeah, a little superglue or plain old wood glue like titebond..
what you want is something that holds it in place but releases easily
just a little hint - dont take bottles/tubes of superglue over the guitar.. put a little drop on the nut rather than try to put a little drop in the nut slot

Boa noite.. obrigado
Unfortunatelly it's day :( hehehehe
Follow Wez's tip, if the guy ever need to change the nut (not very unnusual), with much glue he will be like having trouble and with a big chance of messing the work, like breaking some part of the wood, etc...
