Well guys I'm a happy chappy, gigged the LP Custom and Engl rig last night for the first time and it smoked.
I hadn't even had a band jam with this amp so they looked shocked when I wheeled it in last night .
We were playing a warm up gig before we play our other ten gigs we have booked, so it was quite informal and we didn't push it too much.
The amp sounded great in the soundcheck but I was told I was a bit low in the mix so I set my Hi and Lo Lead channels a bit higher as well as the master volume, added a bit more treble and it was perfect.
My clean sound was nice and sparkly, didn't use the crunch channel, Lo lead was set nice and fat and punchy with a bottom end boost and the Hi Lead channel was set for solos, plenty of bite and sustain and a bit of delay.
I was so happy with my sound, every tone I desire was there last night and that combined with the LP really made me play better. The BKP Cold Sweats sounded great, very quiet too which was a huge bonus but I am so impressed with these pickups ... FANTASTIC !!!!!
Gig went OK, a few clangers dropped but we soldierd on and the crowd seemed to enjoy it. Got a big gig next weekend so fingers crossed we'll be on form !

There's not that many gigs in town these days, will probably try to get on at The Star in the new year. Playing The Three Tuns in Gateshead on the 6th January which is a good gig.

C79, glad to hear the gig went well, at least tonally!
Great kit definitely gives you an edge. The pic looks totally rock & roll!
Let's see more!!
Can we hear more about your band? Covers? Originals?

All of those songs get the TO \m/ sign of approval! Especially the Schenker!!!
I don't see another guitarist, tho. Do you do all the guitar duties yourself??

I run the Rocktron Intellifex into the Engl Z11 midi interface and that runs into the Powerball, all controlled by the Rocktron MidiMate.
I can change between four channels of CLEAN - CRUNCH - LO LEAD - HI LEAD , I can also change the voicing of the lead channel from Open to Focused and select between two master volumes so in effect there are four channels with two volumes for each.
Hope that makes sense :D

Yeah thats great. Im just making sure i have got all the right gear noted down for what i want to buy. How much was the Z11? I am going to be so poor for the next 8 months.
Anyone want to lend me £3(000) dont mind the zeros. Even £3 would be nice.

They are about £200 over here but I got mine from Germany for £140, they reckon Nobel do a cheaper one which is just as good.
