Title: les paul pickups

so i got an epiphone les paul a month ago, and i was thinking of getting some new pickups in the next couple of months. i was going to go for SDs but then i heard about bare knuckles.

so i was wondering, what would be the best pickups for punk/post hardcore type stuff in a les paul?

From what i learned on this board Punk/Post hardcore has many different meaning to each person.  What are some of the bands you affiliate with the punk/post hardcore genre?

mostly pop punk stuff like yellowcard, sugarcult and the odd bit of blink, iand post hardcore such as underoath, funeral for a friend etc

also, can you get warpigs with a plain cover instead of the distressed?

See to me post hardcore is Minor Threat, Fugazia, Greyarea and Grade.  Underoath and funeral for a friend are hardcore bands to me.  Yellowcard and sugarcult are bad punk bands to me....haha.. no offence..haha

anyway, i think the warpigs will be too much for the sound you are looking for.  Nailbombs would probably be better in my opinion.
I'm sure others will chime in with there opinions.   :lol:

I'd go for the nailbombs....hey - if all "post-hardcore" players go bareknuckle, we might find it easier to watch MTV

Hardcore for me meant bands like those Shag101 mentioned, but including Discharge, Conflict, Crass, Subhumans, Deviated Instinct, Doom, and a whole load of others.

For the type of thing you want to do, I'd say go with either the Nailbomb's or Emeralds, as you'll have a bit more control for those quiet/loud/quiet bits.
