Title: NGD
Post by: Lew on January 12, 2009, 12:10:05 PM
I've got this arriving on wednesday, I'm not a huge prs fan but I couldn't resist it at 1099!

It's new but has been sitting in the PRS-UK warehouse for six years.

It's gonna need new pups

It's Twinfans fault for pimping the Guitars4you website!

Replaced by the Tremonti with the thicker body I think?

Is it me or is the bridge really far up the guitar towards the neck? I know LPs are bad for this, but this one seems rather extreme! Is that a shorter-than-normal scale length or something?

Yes I suppose so - although I've always seen the tremonti as a different guitar. Hot pickups thick singlecut body etc. I prefer the trem version myself (as I have one obviously)  :P

Roo

the tailpiece on les pauls make it extend back further,   There will only be 1/4" difference in scale lengths between this and a gibson

nice guitar

Probably looks odd because of the angle the picture was taken at, I'll take some better pic's when it gets here-after I've steelwooled the neck.

Pic's PPPMAT  :D

Very nice! I was tempted by that one myself, but I really couldn't justify having that and a Tremonti. What pickups are you thinking for it?

Good question! BKP I guess ;P

I'll get a feel of the guitar and see where I want to go.

Nice guitar! Think it would look better with double black pickups... perhaps with white mounting rings...

Here it is(tilt your head!) :D

It's really reasonant and plays great, sounds like a piano unplugged! It's cliche to say it... but the harmonics and overtones are really good.

Only things that aren't perfect is it's pretty heavy and the knobs are cack

Aye, it's going to take a little time to adapt to the neck, it is really skinny and has tiny frets and I think a 12"radius, maybe 10".

Totally different to the massive boat neck I'm used to with big frets and 12-16 radius!
