My ma is Italian, but I can't speak any and my roots are really only visible half way into the World Cup qualifiers once Scotland have made an arse of themselves again.

Both of my parents are Italian, from a small town in Sicily.
My siblings and I are first generation born in the US.

I ate a Italian Pizza with the three italian studants in London, in a shopping centre at West Hampstead... It's nice, but I prefer the brazilian, the massa is more alike "bread" than "spaghetti"

For sure! Are you from Napoli?
When I hit Europe for a while, I'll give the time to do it, will ask you for a good pizzaria!

My Grandad was italian, my dads surname was de bono - which i believe comes from venezia.

I've also lived there for a few years back at the turn of the century; would again in a heartbeat if i could find a decent job there.

Getting married in Ravello next year too!

I found out at the weekend that my great-grandfather was Italian too.  That makes me English/Scotish/Welsh/Italian mix, that was born in Sweden.  I'm a mongrel   Turns out that the Scotish routes are Royal Stewart too, so I wonder if there's an inheritance with my name on it tucked away somewhere.
