That actually looks class. Ok, there's a lot of Knobs and switches there, but it does read as it it's no complex matter to set it up as a fire and forget cannon of a thing.

Mind you, it'll be 2064 before anywhere here has one in stock, so that'll keep the GAS level low for now.

Simple to use and dial, some good functions...

To be honest I looked at the list of things it can do and there isn't one thing on there (except the FX loop options but that's for any amps out there, I just don't use them) that I would NOT use. Everything's perfectly justified as features and the amp still has limitless capacities. Now I never ever played any Mesas, but I'd try that one.

Mmmmm, looks great, the specs look incredible! Guess i should start saving now... it's not going to be cheap, that's for sure! Kind of a shame that there's so many mini toggles, and no push/pulls on the pots, i kinda liked them on the MKIV combo i tried.

I think eBay may have to open up a medical section for all the arms and legs :P

I wonder if it'll still be a bit saggy, or if it will give the nice super-tight high gain heads a run for their money...

Looks pretty damn impressive. If you got it youd have to take a week off work just to try everything out properly

If only it did have a beer cooler.
ive got one of the old halfback mesa 4x12's and was considering trying to turn the openback part into a mini fridge so i can sneak large quantities of beer into barshows

it will be on the tight side..the tweed setting allows a little more sag.....very tight with ev's!
_I ordered one 2 weeks ago, and I am hoping I will get it in a month-as stated in earlier posts, I will do a shootout with the following and post results-Mk IIC+ Coliseum, Mk IIC+ 60/100, MK IIC+ simulclass,C+ with export tranny, Lonestar, and Mk III -will a/b any and all configurations-I am sure it will nail the heralded C+ lead tone, but the C+ low-mid gain settings, and cleans are incredible ...its all in the old transformers, baby-we will see, but I have heard that it is truly a unique amp("extreme" setting is a new boog tone-very interesting), and I figure it will be able to stand on its own, as opposed to being just a "jack of all trades"
....and, D and L, if this wasnt enough, they also launched the simplistic ElectraDyne line of amps as well....someone say British??
-simul class-it is the deal for me..and I cant wait to try 3 assignable channels-use cleans @ 90 watts/switch to lead channel on 45 watts,etc.....solo boost is cool( Ihave that mod on one of my C's...it is sweet)....assignable fx loops...fun for a tweaker!!
will keep you guys posted

That's what i'm hoping, i've got Diezel GAS, but can't help but think that this might let me down, although it does sound like it has every trick in the book

Operating this amp looks more complex than flying a Space Shuttle.

I have a healthy distrust for amps with too many knobs and features. The MarkIV got away with it but this is just way too much.

I'd say that it looks easier to use than the mark IV

I'd agree on the "not as difficult as it looks" front - I'm not a mesa fan, though I did covet one of those wooden combos in the early eighties - would that have been a Mark I?? Don't know...

When it comes to controls, I'm pretty much a single channel master volume sort of chap... when amps with multiple gain stages and switching channels and stuff came out I just got confused...

But I did read all the blurb on this earlier and almost got excited - "hey! I could operate this one... this sounds FAB!" then I remembered I don't need to buy an amp (the other window has a bunch of searches on Laney amps open at the moment )

the graphic equalizer looks awfully 80, and so i HATE it from the coldest abyss of my soul...  :x
anyway i'm very curious to hear samples, demos and - not last - to play it... i'm absolutely not a one channel - one volume guy... just reading about the range of possible tones and seeing tose wonderfully tiny switches all around gave me a severe but easily controllable GAS... easily controllable for the simple fact i'll never be so rich to afford one of those, and i know it perfectly...

If its good enough for John Petrucci, then ... I'm never gonna be able to afford it in this lifetime. :D
