All,
I am getting pretty desperate for a strat but all the ones I like are not routed for humbuckers in the Bridge.
I had q strat before with a stacked humbucker (hot rails) but it still always sounded a bit twangy (could have been the strat though), I am thinking maybe if I got a (uber ?) sinner that would be problem solved.
At the moment my favorite bridge pickup by far is my HD, I was wonder how the sinner would compare sonically. The thing I am most worried about is it not sounding as full and fat.
Thanks in advance for the input

The sinner is voiced pretty much the same as a warpig.
(Tim told me that when I was after one and wondered what sort of sounding guitar to put it in, knowing that I have a couple of warpigs).
Its very, very, very heavy and thick for a single coil, huge and surprisingly tight bass, single chime and clarity. Outstanding pickup.
Oh, mines an uber sinner @23k with a sinc-steel base plate (adds lows and deepens the lows -strongly recommended for you).

I'm picking up a cheap strat tomorrow, thinking of a sinner in the bridge to melt faces. I love fat single coils, so i think this will be right up my street

Fat doesnt cut it!
The U-Sinner with zinc steel base plate hangs with my Warpigs (A and C), paiknillers, Monster-MM and, well, pretty much anything else you can name.

I know it's stating the obvious, but couldn't you get a Strat you do like and rout it for a humbucker?
(Fair enough if you're thinking Custom Shop or something and you don't want to devalue the guitar)

cheers for the input.
I am thinking of going custom shop strat but there's a part of me that just wants a basic american standard

If you go for the American Standard, that already has the humbucker routing of course. So problem solved. :)
