Title: Wiring question
Post by: Dazza1004 on January 23, 2009, 10:20:51 AM
Is it possible to wire in a mini toggle switch so that when it’s in the up position it’s bypassed and when it’s in the down position it engages the bridge pickup at full volume regardless of where the volume pot and pick up selector switch is set ?

Yes, but how to do it depends on the guitar that it is going into.  Basically you wire so the up position passes the wire to the bridge volume and the down will bypass it.  However then you need to know how the rest of the wiring is.  Some guitars go pickup->switch->volume, some go pickup->volume->switch, so the wiring is different.

thanks for the info chap.

I am probably not going to do the wiring myself but I just wanted to make sure it was possible.
