Title: Got my first BKP - Nailbomb (bridge) (upd: ughhh, see problem inside)
Post by: Metafis on January 25, 2009, 10:12:39 AM
Hello everyone!

Just want to share my happiness (and some photos) - received my Nailbomb to replace DiMarzio Evolution in Ibanez RG 2620 QMSP. :guitar4:

Going to visit my friend today, who will help me to solder stuff. Cant wait for the evening =)

If this one meets my expectations (and I am sure it will), I'll get a Warpig for my Lootnick 7.

Party noooow! =)

PS. Hopefully I will do some sound demos too and post it here later.

Thanks, guys =)

Now its time for laugh

I am looser and moron. I ordered the pickup with
long legs instead of short legs... Damn stupid, but that's true.
Ehhhhhh. *sigh*

I wonder, what is my best option now:

1) Send it back to Tim for replacement

2) Or, I can shorten the legs myself? If yes, another thing comes up.
There are 6 screws that go through the pickup and their ends rest on
the wood inside the pickup cavity. That means, if I shorten the legs,
I will have to cut several mm of each screw. Will this affect the
sound, i.e. these screw endings are not just for fun there? Or its OK to
cut several mm?

I sent this question to Tim too, lets see what he will reply.

AAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHH, stupid stupid meee

Send it back and get it changed to short legs, I believe you only have to pay shipping for it!

Yeah, Tim said the same. Going to send the pickup for base plate replacement today.

Damn, another week and a half of waiting =)
