does anyone (well nolly does for sure!) how can i get informations from the blackmachine guy?
my bm GAS is reaching alarming levels, and i sent him an email, but it failed to arrive and was sent back...

Doug (Mr Blackmachine) happens to be a very good friend of mine. Which email did you use? If there is a problem with a business email he would want me to tell him.
Cheers

As he says, Martin's the guy to speak to if you're having problems with getting emails through to Doug.
I find that calling Doug is the easiest way to get hold of him. It's rare to get through to him first time, but if you leave a message he generally gets back to you within a few days.
Just remember that he prioritises building guitars over answering emails, which is fairly comforting since you know that when he's working on your guitar, he'll be giving it all his attention. :)

+1
And I'm a LP kind of guy

I know Doug sometime has problems with emails as I had several bounce back. However, he gets the job done once the order is in, and a great job it is. I have one of the B6 models with open Nailbombs....Sweet!

Ha!!
It would be many many times worse if you had actually played any. All of them that I've tried have simply been phenomenally well built and set up.
Good luck getting in touch with Doug :)

i used mail@blackmachine.net...
anyway i'll try again, bouncing emails can't anything against growing GAS... :D
-
dheim, put your name down on the growing list then! It's going to be a long wait, at least a year. Plenty of time to save, but it'd be well well worth it

On his site it's written:
If you would like to register your interest by joining the waiting list,
you can do so without obligation by submitting your details to:
waitinglist@blackmachine.net
+1 on AdamB, that's what I was going to post...
-
sure, i saw the link, but i wrote to ask some information before entering the list!
-
Enter the list NOW! :lol:If you aren't ready once Doug is you can always drop out he told me, after all, doesn't really do him much harm, he's got enough other guitars to work on. I'm on that list :D

Thanks for that, I let him know and he will get around to it ASAP. He is currently on a build and very little distracts him.
Then it's soon to be his most important build *cough* my B2, which after seeing Doug the other sounds as though it will end up quite exotic :D :D :D

Interesting, you're not going for a 7 any more then? What timber have you gone for, or would you rather keep that a secret? :)

Buggers :(

I am fairly nifty with a 7 but 6 strings will always be more natural to me and probably most poeple. On that basis as its going to be my numero uno axe I decided to go for a 6. Purely for the hand feeling 100% at home in an enviroment it doesn't have to think about. I will more than likely then put my name down for a 7 at some future date and hope to come into some wonga.
I want to keep the woods secret for now as there might be some changes when I visit Doug (he has been wood shopping). However the finger board will most likely be a wood thats naturally two tone, creating a very dramatic effect. Also I can tease the South Americans in serious hats this way :)
Pickups will be Painkillers

he has been wood shopping
I think I'll have to give him a call :D
Understood on the 6 vs 7 thing, I've changed my mind to getting a B7 next and then back again for similar reasons. There's just something so special about the 6-string format.
-
i don't know if i should expect some kind of reply, but i think i entered the list... :)

Spoke to him before Nolly, he says that he's got some of the most beautiful one piece tops he's ever seen!

:o Awesome, I wonder if they're the same ones he told me he was looking at getting a few weeks ago.. You'll have to tell me the details tomorrow!
-
Will do mate! He seemed very enthusiastic for his laid back voice, haha! :D
-
Hahah, when Doug's excited you know he's onto something jawdropping..

He'll probably reply in a few days/weeks. He did for me :)

Bugger. I emailed the waiting list in November and haven't had a response - assumed I wouldn't hear anything until Doug was after a deposit.
