Frank Gallagher was on great form tonight in the new series!
-
I've never watched it - the adverts looked pretty funny though. might give it a shot.
-
I've watched it ever since it started. The 1st 3 series' or so were great, but it's slowly gone downhill since imo.
Last nights was funny though :)

I preferred the ones with James McAvoy in it? I think thats his name and spelling

i seriously need to go to bed... cos you can probably imagine what i read in the title .. :stupid:

Yeah, the first couple of series would have the odd serious/touching moment, and there was a sort of "message" that despite being completely dysfunctional the Gallaghers still cared about each other and were a real family.
Now it's just a comedy series. I watch it sometimes, enjoy it, get fed up, decide not to watch anymore then start watching all over again. But I always somehow miss the first few episodes of each series.

I cant stand it for some reason. Dont like any of the characters, they just grate on me :?
-
Never got round to watching it.
-
For some strange reason the characters really irritate me but most people love it so maybe it's me
-
I don't tend to watch it now - as I still feel the earliest ( Paul Abbot written ones ) where the best ; being as they were based directly on his own experience. As has been mentioned, it does not seem to work as well for me as an ongoing comedy / drama. It would have remained a classic if left after one series like 'Boys From The Blackstuff'.
Still, kudos for it being a revelation of 'real life' for anybody living outside that reality. :)

I only got into it last September through BT Vision which is an on demand based system. I watched the first 3 series and then they expired in the new year. I never watched it first time around for some reason but thought I'd give it a go after so many people I know really like it. Sometimes its great and other times its so so but well worth a look into.

I like it in some ways. bit close to home though!

possibly my favourite comedy ever!!!!!!!!! FRANK is a god ;)
