Hey guys, just thought I'd share this with ya. Since selling a cracking G&L ASAT Classic last year I've been looking for a G&L ASAT with 3 pick ups.. I think it's the classic S? Anyway, I think I've just found my ultimate T type, nice and lightweight natural Ash body, 3 pick ups, genuine Floyd, birdseye neck and made by Wayne Charvel. It's with a guitar tech at the minute having a few minor adjustments made, I should get it back on friday. Here it is.....

Lew. Thanks bud, I'm very happy and think it will will even better when I get it back.
Jonny I'm really into classic rock as a player, we do old classics.... all the usual suspects you know. Only tried it briefly through my amp on Sat before taking it in... but wow, it sounded great as a rock guitar. It's going to be very versatile... I always take 2 guitars out and try to rotate them depending on the set but this will be the guitar that always comes to gigs me thinks!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that this guitar was built as a 1 off for a certain Mr. D. Kilminster!

Yes, he's going to hate it.... except (maybe?) the Floyd, which I must admit is the only thing I don't like about it.
Can't beat a bit of natural-finished ash, way prettier than flame/quilt maple IMO.

My band mate was around on Sat to sort out the set list for that nights gig... he said that he hated the Floyd, changed his mind when he played it mind. If I'm totally honest, my favorite Tele is a bare bones '52 type, but as I can't afford to have as many guitars as I used too and this is a good compromise for me, hybrid Tele/ Strat. Once I've gigged it I may sell a really nice G&L Legacy std and my Les Paul D.C Pro Custom shop with P90's. I hate selling guitars but needs must, so I'm buying with the intention of having just a few that will cover all bases.

Nice buy- that is certainly a different take on a Tele. The workmanship, if such things can be judged from pictures, seem spot on. I love the finish.

It's taken all the things I dislike on a tele and whapped them into one guitar. :(
Floyds, three pickups, humbuckers, the control mount but no scratchplate.
Booooooo.

Really like the headstock logo, like the old charvel ones, but with a mean charvel star instead
So im guessing wayne charvel started charvel?

Jesus christ, a Wayne.
That must have cost an absolute FORTUNE.

Guys.. I know that it's a bit of a mixed bag being neither a Tele or a Strat... but seriously I'm telling you, it's easily one of the best guitars I've ever laid my hands on. Picked it up from guitar tech about 4.30 ish, he's sort of serviced it and gave it a once over with a couple of minor adjustments, cleaned the pots and switches and polished the frets and WOW. He did say it's not your run of the mill guitar... he wants to buy it! :D
Can't wait to gig it through my MK now.... and no gigs booked at the moment, next ones are March 27 and 28!!

I really like that.
Is it rude to ask for the ball-park cost..?
