Great band, just read about them in an Eddie Kramer interview. Like a mix between Alice in Chains, Monster Magnet and Led Zeppelin :O)
Anyone knows them or can tell me where/if I can get a CD from them?

I was about to send you to Rob Chappers, the Orange Amps demonstrator and YouTube legend, but it looks like he isn't in the band any more :?

Yes - looks as if he's got too much else going on to commit to Black Hand....e.g. NAMM, Orange/PRS demos, tuition, tuition videos etc

He has indeed left the band. Now working on a number of projects including Eternal Descent. Not really my type of music to be honest - look it up on the tube if you're curious.
Rob is a great guy and a very versatile guitarist. Met him once, he is the kind of player who makes you want to give up and play more in equal measures.
-
He just got endorsed by ESP with his bands own signature line, and is looking to get custom Budda amps, so he might not be playing Orange for much longer!
-
Yeah, rob is brilliant and a great friendly guy, i wish i lived closer as i'd love some lessons from him but don't fancy that online-webcam-lesson thing people are doing these days.

In one of his videos he speaks of Bogner too :?
-
Yeah they said you might see Bogner in the studio too!
-
Surprised nobody has mentioned that he is/was a fellow BKP man, he used BKP's in his strats when he had the vintage endorsement.
Hey said they were a 'sinner set' but... i don't beleive that exists? so it'll most likely be a sinner/trilogy/trilogy that he had
-
Well, im sure he would have gotten a sinner set if he wanted, i have no doubt Tim would do such a set on request. However, i saw a clip when he played a new custom esp and that tone really felt lifeless compared when he played his PRS through the Orange amps which sounded much more organic... shame, and the band eternal descent isnt for me either, cant listen to it, i think i have problems with female singers!

I really preferred the black hand over this.... i'm greatly disappointed and i can't stand that Lexi tosser. He reeks of trying too hard.
But hell, it's early days.

I don't see how he tries too hard?
He is an excellent guitarist. Also a very talented artist and seems to have a goal in life. Chappers has got further in this band after a few months than he has after years of work with The Black Hand. Eternal Descent aren't signed, haven't play a single show and don't have a drummer or a bassist and they already have full ESP endorsements with signature axes.
It's a different style of music than he played before but just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not as good.
/rant.

Same here. He's a good guitarist though. I think its just because I hate power metal really which is what Eternal Descent seems like its going to be. And they have a female vocalist which is bound to suck in metal :P

I think that's a little unfair! I would rather have someone who tries too hard than doesn't try at all - although I don't think he is trying too hard. Personally the music is not to my taste but I really hope it works out for them.

I think Rob is a fantastic guitarist with a really sexy rock technique and tone, I bet he's a great teacher too.
I've bumped into him and he came across as horribly arrogant and up himself though, bragging about his endorsements and how he is such a great guitarist etc... I was actually getting embarased on his behalf. His attitude really turned me off of getting further into his music... perhaps though after watching some of his brilliant videos on you tube it's possible I completley missed and misunderstood his humour... but I doubt it 8)

Exactly what happened when i met that Lexi guy a while back, and thus my comments before.
I'm surprised Rob was like that though... shame :( i guess you have to be vocal about your achievements in this industry or no one will take notice.
-
He told me the other day that for his band work he uses a custom baritone and another guitar but ESP are making him some custom strats and tele's which he said he was putting some BKP's in. Not sure which set or in what guitar.
I know he likes them. I think he put some in a gibson V a few months back.
-
Bit disappointed to hear Rob is like that, he seems the complete opposite :\

I think his videos are great too, really laugh out loud good. I'm sure he is cool, but he clearly has a great business sense and I think that's what it is.
