Title: VHII Questions

Hi Guys,

My new custom is ready and I am looking now to replace the pickups with a set of VHII. I like the clips I have heard but I would like to know more about them especially regarding how tight the bass is for palm mutes. I will not be doing any extremely heavy stuff with it and will mostly use it for leads practice and cleans.
Is the tone bassy or trebly? It will be going in a maple neck through with mahogany wings and maple top.

Any help would be great!  :D

They're more treble-y than bass-y.  I've got a set in a Jackson Dinky if you want to try them....

so i am assuming they sound very clear and have great definition. it is a short scale guitar by the way.
