Title: Stereo Amps
Post by: Spitfire on February 03, 2009, 02:44:34 PM
Ive been messing around a lot with my stereo delay in my amps fx loop.. and its pretty awesome.. shame im using it in a stereo 4x12 instead of a 4x12 per side.. would be nice to get one at each side of the room and stand in the middle.

maybe in about £800's time ill pick up a pair of orange 4x12s

anyone else use stereo effects?

Just played in stereo yesterday with my new baby - VHT 2502 poweramp. I ran one side in A/B with the Bogner 4x12 and the other side in Class A with a ported 2x12.

AMAZIINNG TONE!!!

I was running a stereo rig, and i've never heard a better sound than a stereo chorus with two cabs either side of the room , just so lush :) Shame i've just sold the other 2x12 and the JCM900 i was using as a poweramp. I'd love to try a wet/dry/wet rig at some point, but i need a couple more cabs and poweramps for that!

I use a Marshall JVM 410H with a Rocktron Xpression in the loop. The second output from the Xp goe into the FX Return of a JCM900 100W head. both amps go into 4 x12 cabs. This sounds fantastic in stereo.  Set for long delays, a bit of phase and reverb - instant Brian May on Brighton Rock.
