Title: Celestion G12M Greenbacks
Post by: Bainzy on October 09, 2005, 03:48:13 PM
Where can I get these in the UK for the cheapest price possible? I've got an angled 1960A cab that I'm wanting to put some in to replace the 75's...

I'd prefer trading but I doubt I'm gonna find anyone easily to trade my 75w celestions for the greenbacks

www.cpc.co.uk do them for £47 (£39.68 + VAT). How does this compare to what you've seen already?

That's the cheapest I've seen them so far, is that was the lowest price there is?

They're the cheapest I've come across.  You may find them cheaper elsewhere, I dunno. For comparison Greenbacks are £50 + VAT at Watford Valves.

cpc really isn't geared towards musicians at all though, they're more the kind of business for people who want 100,000 capacitors.

suppose it doesn't particuarly matter though as long as the goods are sent ok, as it's a standardised product

You're right Steve, they're not really geared towards musicians but you don't have to buy things in large quantities. They ship orders over £35 free and even the standard delivery is usually UPS next day. If it's worth it to you to pay an extra ten or fifteen quid a speaker to someone in a guitar shop that's cool. :) They probably got them from an outfit like CPC in the first place.

point taken :D

i just remember minimum order fuss trying to buy stuff from them for a pedal project... 4 speakers should be fine though
