Now for my impressions. This thing is NICE!!! I can't believe it was so cheap. It is heavy as hell and feels like it's built like a tank. It arrived totally unscathed and had no flaws worth mentioning. The action is low and buzz free and I love the feel of it. Stock pickups are pretty meh but not the worst ever. I expected that and they will be replaced with a BKP Miracle Man set shortly. Hardware seems decent and the fretwork isn't bad at all. Also Rondos service has been great and shipping was very quick. I am very happy with it. Especially at the price. Anyone thinking of buying an Agile LP don't hesitate.

I have to say I didn't like it at first glance, but it's growing on me already...
I want wall hangers for my guitars, but my cats would just see them as swings.
-
It's really weird seeing a maple board on an L.P type guitar, but that looks great! 8)
-
Hmmmm, where have I seen one of those before?
The look is definitely growing on me. But there is something soooo '70s about it, and I don't really know why.
-
Seeing that maple is wierd for a LP. I like it though, looks nice, i may get something like this to put bucker size p90's in.
-
i like this one more than D+L's (you know what, i have a friend called DL which stands for 'dirty laura' - i think thats what i will call ben from now on!!)
obviously they are essentially the same guitar but the bookmatch on this really appeals.... its almost like the wood grain is trying to force itself into a bullseye :)
-
Yeah I definately got a nice top on this one. It also has a part on the bottom near where the two pieces of the top meet that fades from a lighter shade to darker. Looks really cool.

Some more pics.

Haven't posted on this forum for a while, but I saw this and felt like i needed to make a comeback to tell you that THAT THANG LOOKS AMAZING!
-
^ I wondered where you had got to!
Lovely guitar. Are you in the UK? It looks gorgeous for such a low price.
Sorry my curiosity is getting the better of me...What pet is in the cage?
-
No, I'm in the US.
-
Pickguard or no pickguard? I like it with it off, but hate having the holes for it. I put the screws in but it looks kinda cr@ppy IMO.

I think it looks great.I agree with Philly in that it kinda of makes me think 1970's.
-
I'm glad to see a pic with the pickguard removed - that pickguard just doesn't work for me, I think it looks much nicer without :)
Incidentally, what good does a pickguard actually do? I don't think I've EVER got the plectrum even remotely close to the guitar *below* the strings!!!!

on the archtop guitars the les paul was styled after it makes a handy finger rest and place to attach a pickup/controls

Definitely.
I also love the maple (?) cap. Looks good to me.
Now, just get some black p'ups in it ...
-
I've seen maple boarded LP's before, I never liked the look of them but this one looks stunning!
I like it better with the pickguard on. Without it, all that maple color is too overpowering.
It's begging for black covered pickups, isn't it?
-
it's waaaay better without the pickguard... some LP are better this way, some not. i don't know why but the only guitar that actually seems to need a pickguard beside aesthetics is my SG... it's full of plectrum hits, but i can't remember having actually ever hit it!

The finish reminds of me of the old Gibson Marauder - maybe that's it?
Congrats on the new guitar :D

Yes! But even more than that, the L6S! That's what I was thinking of. Thanks, you pointed me in the right direction. :D
-
That looks a fine instrument... :D
I liked the commentary on the first set of pics as well
-
Congrats man!
Agile is new to me. They seem to be really well priced. Comparable to the Epiphone line I would assume? I found a few on ebay and they looked really nice. Better finish than most guitars in that price range.

I can't stand this, listen to the acoustic demo. It makes me cringe for some reason

Acoustic or Plugged in, they both sound naff.

I don't see the problem... :?
(I did think the '59 sounded better than the new LP, though)

He sweeps over 2 inches of the pickguard with the pick, can you not hear it?!
-
I can hear it, but (of course) it's only picked up because there's a mic nearby. It doesn't bother me.
Maybe it's one of those chalk-on-blackboard things, it just affects you personally. I get wound up by car horns, they make me lose my temper in an instant.
-
I love Paul's reviews. He always does a really good job covering the item and his playing is exceptional.

I thought you couldn't actually hear the noise, I don't get how he actually picks there though!
FWIW I'm fine with blackboards, but hate the sound of hard bristled brushes on concrete, or wire brushes on steel
-
Thanks for all the compliments guys. I am still trying to decide on the pickguard. Now for the pickups. I am pretty sure I will either do open coil black/creme zebra or open coil black. Thoughts?

That Agile is growing on me, I didn't think I'd care for it but low and behold, I do, It is nice!
