PhillyQ - you wanted pictures - well, here you go! Looks like I will need at least one pup to go in it!

Let's hope that it is as good as it looks!!

Looks very nice! Raw power!

Looks like a great workhorse!
But dude, cap those string ends, you're gonna take someone's eye out with that :O)

Err - I haven't got it yet - I only bought it yesterday and it is still in Japan! I might run to a new set of strings - might even push the boat out and fit a new pickguard and neck pup!
Mike
PS - will now be trawling the Bay for a nice set of Riff Raffs....

Ah, now I see why it was cheap! But it has vast potential - new pickup, black mounting rings, scratchplate and some proper SG knobs (I know that's all very conventional, but SGs look "right" that way).
What the hell is that in the neck pickup cavity? A blue rag?
-
Green electricians tape - I think!
The bits (black and silver bell knobs etc) should be easy to source but the guitar looks pretty sound - needs a clean up but otherwise OK - I will collect in early April - hence no VAT, shipping etc etc... Keeps the price down!

I quite like beaten up guitars to the extend that you're pretty much buying 7/8 or less of it.
The idea of mending and sticking it all back together (as an improvement) intrigues me.

I hope that it is not THAT beat up when I get it - I saw it as more a little cosmetic job...
