Title: help with my amp

made a massive error. my new amp was left on standby for days and i didnt realise. I just tried playing it and its lost its volume and the reverb sounds cavenous even when its on 1%. i think i might have screwed it up. could anyone advise. its a cornford carrera. help :(

Did you turn standby off when you tried to play? :P
Well more seriously, I have also done the same with my Marshall, and found no ill effects. I have done that more times than its worth remembering

might be a tube issue. all thats powered when the stand by is on is the heater circuit for the tubes?
am i right?

Normally it should be no problem. Standby should not have that kind of bad impact. I would assume the amp wasn't particularly hot when you discovered it, right?

Probably a coincidence. If it remains after cooling down, you could swap tubes to check if you have some lying around, or bring it to a tech.

its ok. panic over. just left it off for a few hours and let it cool down. should be ok. thanks
