I bought an XBOX 360 this week in order to play Star Ocean and Lost Odyssey. If there is anyone on this forum on XBOX, my Gamer Tag is MoonShadowSaber.

I've got a 360 but I'm not on gold on the basis that I can't afford the subscription what with all the other stuff I have to pay for at the moment.
As a tip I would recommend you download Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved^2 as it is just the game I consider to be the best of all the live downloads. (and you can see if you can beat my pacifism score).
Best retail game I believe is Mass Effect, in spite of the dull side quests.

I'm only on silver at the minute as I dont really play that much, more into pc gaming. My gamertag is Tom the B34st I think :lol:
If you want a highly addictive yet infuriating game, get N+! Mirrors Edge is fun for a bit as well but gets quite repetitive.

i got bored rigid during oblivion... it's all copy pasted..
fallout 3 could've been better, if they explained some of the why's and hows... but that probably IS just me, cos i havent played 1 and 2 .. also, the PC version crashes every 20 minutes.
mass effect is.. ok. a tad repetitive, the side quests offer nothing more to the game. and it's too short.. though, if you pick it up, you'll manage to play it for 6 months i'm sure.. and i dont think you'll finish fallout 3 or oblivion in under 158 months :D

We got a 360 for Christmas - it was a bit of a waste as neither my wife nor I have really taken to it & the children are too small to play it yet.
The only game I've liked so far is PGR4, but my wife doesn't like me playing it unless the children are asleep - she says all that she hears is "bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr screeeeeech crunch swear swear swear" (not my fault - none of the bloody motorbikes on it have any brakes! :lol:)

I finished Fallout 3 in a whole... well, must've been less than 12 hours.
I was highly disappointed by it, it broke the rules, at the end of the game the game ENDS, this is not how it should be! i hated that, really really hated it and i haven't played the game since.
I might just play Fallout 2 again instead :)

yeah, that's the bit i didnt like either. i wanted to keep on playing, but the game just ends. also, it's pointless to invest points in that mysterious stranger perk.. i had it maxed and the $%&#er never showed up

Then you didn't really play it!
The secret is to completely ignore the main storyline until you want it to end, and just go about doing sidequests the whole time.

Fallout 3 is probably my most played game on the 360. Even more so than COD WOW or Gears.
It is simply immense and full of character and attention to detail.

world at war is such a shitety game!!!! they had one of THE best 1st person shooters on the planet with modern warfare, and they COMPLETELLY $%&#ed it up with that abomination. it isnt worth playing at all.

Thanks for the pointers. I already own a PS3, so the XBOX is solely for those titles that a) only get updates and expansions on XBOX and not PS3 or b) are XBOX exclusive titles.
I have Rock Band 2 for the PS3.
I'm not a fan of WRPGs, but Fallout 3 does look intriguing. :) It's on the list, but a ways down, I'll admit.

Halo was good in it's day, me and my mate used to play it for hours, we put it on again the other week for a laugh and we were bored after 5 minutes.

I played the Tomb Raider demo yesterday ... very smooth gameplay, but overall it was like a more-awkward version of Uncharted.
Star Ocean is shaping up to be just as good as its predecessors, with some necessary improvements to item creation.

totally disagree.... do it on legendary (always helps) ..... then... get gold n try n become a frickin level 50 :shock:
its online where halo dominates.....
but thats just me i love the game..... prefer it to cod,,,, :lol:

I'm on gold with this handle. However I pretty much only play Halo 3 online. The Halo games are great if you play them online. The only campaign I finished was the original one though. I treat it just as an online game now.
