He suggested a Painkiller of all things, but i trust his word over any former ( in no offense)
So i guess i will be ordering this week :)
-
Thats what he suggested in mine and it sounds great
-
Hows the clean on it?
-
Cleans on a Painkiller are half way decent and usuable for me. Although there are many BKP's better suited for cleans.

Since he said something with a ceramic magnet for the bridge ( im going for that petrucci scenes of a memory tone) Im thinking cold sweat im liking the lower output and not so deep sounding, a little brighter, to cut through the paul, also hear coldsweats a little better for clean.
-
I think you would like both
the cold sweat is a bit more flat sounding than the PK in terms of voicing
but I like its mid crunch better
sounds a bit warmer and more organic
the painkiller has more of a huge, loud and clean midrange with hairy highs
the low end is similar, but the painkiller is more clinical

clean midrange with hairy highs
the low end is similar,
Err... I originally misread that as "clean midrange with hairy thighs the low end is similar..." - reminded me of an ex girlfriend PDT_003
I have recently fitted a calibrated set of Cold Sweats to a PRS Standard 24. Was very impressed with the range of tones available, including surprisingly the clean sound when split and volume wound back - almost acoustic, woody quality. I find that the volume and tone pots on the PRS are very responsive - much better than on my Gibsons.

Sounds good :)
Im just scarred of the ceramic magnet coming from the only ceramic magnet ive played and alot ..is a super distortion and to be honest its really harsh, thin and horrible for clean it has that ceramic flavor that i hear in alot of clips, but not to say that the sweat's will sound anything like the SD
