Title: Which bridge PUP for All maple Baritone guitar
Post by: jllozano on March 13, 2009, 02:00:32 PM
Hey guys...guitar is neck-tru, all maple baritone....usually tuned to B or Bflat........right now i have a miracle man and it sounds awesome...however i also have lying around a ceramic warpig, painkiller and will soon receive a cold sweat. Guitar will be used exclusively for death metal...do you think the pig would sound good in there or any other of the ones i have? or should i just leave the mm there? curiosity to try the ceramic pig is killing me so what do you think?should i go for it?

Actually I don't know what you mean by this, my MM sounded very full and 3D in my ibanez in Drop A through a 5150.
Now I use a black dog in a baritone (also in Drop A), also through the 5150, and I absolutely love it.

Given that you already have the pickups lying around - swap them out and see how it works out! Doesn't take much soldering :) I would definitely try the C-Pig in there for curiosity's sake, also the Painkiller is exceptionally tight and could sound great there. Also the Cold Sweat, marginally lower output than the others, might give you surprisingly good results. I would also want to try a much lower output pickup in the same guitar to test, too ;)

In short - if you can, then do it!
