Right, so my pedalboard goes:
Amp/Computer -> Tuner -> Reverb -> Wah -> Overdrive (H&K Tube Factor) -> Guitar
I'm wondering if I have the wah in the 'right' place. When I use my overdrive pedal, with the wah turned on it seems to kill the signal quickly if I put it more than 40% back or so. Compared to using Gearbox amp simulators, which give me a fantastic response. Should the signal be being 'wahed' before it's overdriven?

Yes.

Generally wah should be first. Putting it after distortion tends to give it a very small quacky sound, instead of a big deep wah sound. Hendrix used his wah after a fuzz i think, but he could make poop sound good.

Heh, I thought so. But then someone over here told me that it should go after the overdrive (and he's generally quite good at this stuff) but I'd never run the two different modes side by side.
I shall switcheroo accordingly. Thanks guys!

Try it both ways, when I had a wah the instructions said to find where you prefer it

I switched and it now sounds like wearing leather is a prequisite for using this pedal. It's the Zakk Wydle Wah, and it's amazing now it's in the right place.

Hey I built a pedal for switching a pedal between 2 positions in the chain and called it ... (wait for it) .. "The Switcheroo" :D Stop infringing my copyright! :x :lol:
Well chosen by the way, the Wylde wah rocks major ass!! :D
