hello there folks, im a new poster with a very simple question. Which type of BK do i choose??
Im currently in the process of improving my gear situation, am looking at the new blackstar series one 100 amp, (at time of writing not yet released), and i want to get new pups for my mexican fender toronado (rather than get a new guitar, ive got quite attached to El Toro - which i guess can be taken as fenders attempt at a LP ). I need a pickup that is essential a high output good all-rounder with good cleans and high gain, as the band i play in deals with both sides: www.myspace.com/crisisblessed (http://www.myspace.com/crisisblessed)
However im not sure whether i should go for a set of the more contemporary buckers, or maybe the bucker sized p90's?
Advice from other users (esp' tim :) ) would be greatly appreciated!
p.s my parts on the myspace recording uses my toro with a marshall dsl 100, as a guide for my current tone/perhaps ideal tone.

Hey, welcome to the forum.
I'd look at the Nailbomb, as suggested above, or if you want a slightly less mental approach Crawlers.
They cover your description really well and have a steroidal PAF sound rather than a chilled metal tone.
If cleans are a big part of your sound, I'd go crawlers. If only occasional I'd probably have the nailbomb.
