Title: Delivery Times (Yes, I'm impatient but can't wait until they're here!)
Post by: Twaddlefish on March 18, 2009, 05:00:08 PM
So yeah, I couldn't find it anywhere on the main site, I was just wondering what the normal delivery time was.

The pickups are the last mod to arrive for my guitar and I'd be over the moon if it was all loaded in for my gig on Tuesday! I'm so totally prepared to wait though, they're worth it!  :D

Tim for President!

are your pickups "standard" or somehow customized? custom pickups arrive after 3-4 weeks, usually... normal sets take a week to arrive in italy.

Nah there really are no 'normal' pickups they just keep on the shelves for immediate delivery. They're all made to order and have the same delivery times. The only times something takes longer than another is if they run out of supplies of something, say 7-string bobbins or whatever.

Right now it looks like 3-4 weeks is about norm as they've been very busy with the weakened GBP.

It might largely be dependent on where you live, I got my MQ exactly fourteen days after I ordered it, largely because I live in New York. According to the postage label, the shipping took nine days =| So if you're lucky and don't live too far, it shouldn't take too long, but regardless, when you do finally get it, it'll feel like the wait was ten times longer than it actually was.

P.S., weakened GBP FTW! It's how I could afford my queen haha

Just in case Tim gets the wrong idea, this is in NO WAY a thread saying you're slow. I can't wait for them to arrive but I am prepared to wait because I know how good you are at this.

I ordered a set last Friday and they are being made today apparently, so delay not too long. Though mine are a simple set or Mother's Milk SCs with a baseplate, so ,ostly "off the shelf" I suspect.

As if by magic, they arrived today!

Here are some quick thoughts and the general idea. I keep saying 'headstock' instead of 'truss rod cover' though, but it was a one take job. Enjoy!

Oh well, I will just savour the anticipation until they can redeliver them.

I just ordered a Cold Sweat neck directly last night... did ya pay any "import taxes" when it was delivered?

I'm in L.A.... I guess our orders could take a while :P

just left it at default, I was "weirded" out when it asked for the starting date and such...
otherwise, I saw the order is being processed in my account so it should be good to go... just have to wait like everybody else :P

I don't recall having to pay import taxes, though my bank tacked on a couple of dollars in fees for dealing with foreign currency =/

I ignored the starting date as well, 'cause there's no way in hell I'm going to leaf through a ton of statements to find exactly when it started working.

In the UK some cards now have a start date as well as an expirery date.

So how long do they usually take just living in the UK, as I do?

I placed my order on Monday, so do these things take roughly a week?  I'm waiting on a set of Riff Raffs, nothing special really.

EDIT:  It appears payment was taken for them today.  No worries,  Should be soon-ish.

Actually, does the fact that payment was taken for them mean they have been, or are about to be dispatched to me?

I'm more than surprised when I came home today... a package from Falmouth, UK that was mailed on 3/27 :)
I can't believe my chrome-poled CS neck arrived less than 2 weeks. Just installed the pup a while ago and I can say i'm definitely happy with my order.
Tim's the man...

I live in Northern Ireland and ordered a Burnt Chrome Nailbomb and a P91 on the 7th May and they arrived yesterday, just a week later.  The Burnt Chrome looks killer, can't wait to get everything together, just waiting on W.D. to get my neck in stock then we're good to go!

I was wondering about that too, because when I ordered my queen, it arrived nine days after the charge posted to my account. I'm hoping the same is true this time, 'cause if it is, my Holydiver will be here tomorrow...
