I'm thinking of refitting my all mahogany Godin with BKPs, so I hope some of you hard core BKP users can give me some advice.
I'm looking for a quite versatile pickup as I play different genres of rock. My music goes from straight up Rock N Roll to modern rock/hard rock and sometimes bordering alternative metal (like Tool).
I play through a Music Man HD-130 which obviously isn't the best choise for the harder tunes, but I realy like the amp.

We had a good thread about the best pickups for SGs here (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1455.0)
It seems that it's best to go with low output (Stormy Monday, Riff Raff), or high output (Nailbomb & up) but to avoid the "vintage hot"/mid output pickups....

I think Riff Raffs would suit you well....

Is it a set-neck or a bolt-on? That'll make a difference.

I was gonna post a big ole essay at lunch time at work - but work got in the way
It all boiled down to what he says though :-
I think Riff Raffs would suit you well....
+1 from me :D

It's a bolt on neck

I think the bolt-on will make it a little brighter/more defined/less woolly than a set-neck, so I'm not sure you need to worry so much about the "SG rules" in this case.
I'm stumped what pickups to suggest though... personally I really like the Cold Sweats in mahogany but the bridge might be a little too bright/"modern" for what you've described.

In that case what about the Nailbomb for great versality, or even the Rebell Yell for some great classic rock hard sound ?
