im trying to get a few songs.. im missing from my collection, and to put on a cd to have in the car...

sort of the vietnam era classic rock (that sort of age anyway).. so far i have

the sones - Gimme shelter
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son
Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City
Deep Purple - Hush...

my mind is totally gone what else i should stick on...

You have to have Jefferson Airplane "White Rabbit". The Doors "Riders on the Storm" and Jimi "Purple Haze"- predicable perhaps.

A few ideas:

Too Rolling Stoned - Robin Trower

Move Over - Janis Joplin

I'd also recommend the whole soundtrack to "Vanishing Point" which has "Mississippi Queen" on it.
