I'd really like to get one of those fingerboard masking metal bits (to polish frets without the risk of going on the fingerboard) and a fret rocker (those three sided rulers to find high frets). I found only one dealer on ebay, that had that fingerboard masking thing for £4.10 including shipping... is that a sound price for it...? It would be quite useful for me though. As for the fret rocker, I just got no idea where to find them in here :s
Thanks guys

can you not use masking tape over the fingerboard? (almost free)
-
I can. But it takes a lot longer, and it's a bit stick. Not to mention when it gets to the high frets I have to cut half strips of tape etc... it's a bit time consuming. I've done it before and it works fine, but I'd rather just find something a bit more convenient

I have the metal fretboard guards but I usually prefer tape as it gives you two hands to do the work. As for cutting the tape, try to find some some 5mm stuff which is easier to use high up the neck.

www.stewmac.com - best company for that stuff and really good service
-
Word. Stewmac has all sorts of stuff you didnt know you needed
-
Aye I already ordered from Stewmac before. But I said 'in the UK' for just this reason, SM are in the US
-
Theres this thing called "international shipping". And it doesnt even use a ship! Your gear flies, and comes to your door!
-
Aye, already used them. But for a fret rocker and a set of fingerboard guards, shipping is 11 bucks and takes 3 to 4 weeks. Otherwise it's 21 bucks. Not to mention it gets hold up by customs. It'd be cheaper for me to find it in the UK in the end.

tbh, you can just use a decent metal set square as a fret-rocker. Thats a jip-tool. Good idea but you really dont need to pay ~20£ for one. You can use anything with a straight edge that doesnt bend.
