Pretty self-explanatory. This poll is in association with the "Least favourite guitar shape" thread.
I just feel we need an official "winner" to announce to the world.

For my vote, I think it's almost a dead heat between the Musicvox Spaceranger and the Minarik Manta. Ultimately the pure bulbosity of the Spaceranger gets my vote though !

The funny thing is that people who design these abominations actually think something like: "yes, I like that, that looks right to me."

I think the real problem with most of those shapes is that the designer has made a conscious effort to make them different to what's gone on before, thus losing sight of whether they actually look any good.

There are lots of worse BC riches than the warbeast. Wasnt that called the Warlock once upon a time as well? Not a wholly objectionable guitar compared to, say, the Ironbird.

I think, the chips being down and the crunch having come, I have to choose the spaceranger.
But the minariks put up a hell of a fight.

It had to be the MC Heretic, a true offence to both god and man.
Although there was a last-minute challenge from the Minarik Manta - that thing is ludicrous.
I must admit I don't loathe the Minarik Firebolt - wouldn't want to play one but it would make a nice wall hanging.

The Spaceranger's got vibe, man! It ain't a pretty guitar, it looks RIDICULOUS, but it was blatantly designed to look weird. It's something I could see myself playing. It's a laugh!
However, Minarik, as a company REALLY need to just curl up and die.
It's got to be the Medusa.
Who the HECK is their target market?

i had to vote for the Heretic. the Spaceranger is, at least, funny, and the Minariks may be ludicrous, but at least some thought seems to have gone into the designs. the Heretic is just stupid. and ugly. and stupid.

Wow there's some really amazing guitars there, makes you wonder what the designers are smoking.
I voted other as I think some of the Gibson specials should be in there, the reverse V for a start, then maybe the new "Holy" Explorer.

I had to go with the dean.
Although the others are ugly, the dean is just plain stupid.
At least the others are trying (although failing) to come up with new designs and ideas.

Just makes me chuckle every time I look at it. The body is huge. I just can't actually imagine what someone would look like playing the thing !

i think its a good idea... try playing self indulgent fancy stuff high up the neck and the guitar stabs you - its a great leveller for us bad guitarists

It's horrible. Really, really horrible. It looks like it has a disease - that big bulbous pustule at the bottom...
I guess that's how Roo feels about Telecasters. But I don't think that you can really compare the two...

I went for the tele because it was really the only viable option for me, but I have to say there are some truly awful guitars in that list! Really, truly, brutally ugly!!!
There haven't been too many people who (admit they) don't like my guitar, but at the very least you can look at it and see that it won't be awful to play. Hell, I'll even admit that of the telecaster... But I look at some of those Minarik contraptions, and I can feel the pain!
Very close call between many of those guitars, I must admit!

I hate teles as much as the next man (well, maybe not roo), but I cant see how 4 people (so far) have chosen them over the myriad abominations and asthetic stillborns in that list.
It baffles me. In this company, its practically the Anne Hathaway of guitars (the one thats alive and hot as all hell now, not shakesperes wife).

The only one I couldn't actually imagine hanging from somebody's shoulders was the Space Ranger.
A lot of the other ones are hideous but there's a logic and symetry to their form which adds aesthetic credibilty.
Not so with the Spaceranger.
