A while back I asked (http://"http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=16155.0") for advice on a low wattage tweedy type amp and after many helpful suggestions I am now the very happy owner of a Cornell Romany Plus. Ian Price (http://"http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=16155.msg219266#msg219266") asked for a clip and so here's a quick one cobbled together this evening during the hour or so that I had the flat to myself.
The mic I used is far from ideal and since I can't monitor what I'm recording as I record it, the signal clips in a few places. Furthermore, the playing gets very sloppy but I hope it gives you some idea of one of the sounds the amp can do. The guitar, a Highway One Strat with Apaches, is plugged straight into the amp; the reverb is the amp's, not a post production one.
The amp is set on the 1/4 watt setting with the EQ set halfway and the volume at about 7. I had the guitar's volume backed off to around 7 for most of the recording and the tone controls on the guitar varied between 3 and 7.
When I have more time I'll try and make something a little more polished. Still, I hope this might prove useful to someone.
