Apologies for the iPhone quality pictures, my camera is out of batteries!
Its a very big day for me, because this is the first guitar i've bought over £400, and i am totally stoked! I know I'm in honeymood period, but this thing is awesome. Its light, resonant, and the neck is sooo comfortable.

Awesome - great stuff and very pleased for you. Now get playing!

That looks really nice. I'm GASing for a 335, but these 339's seem like a good option.
-
sweet :)

While its not quite my cup of tea (I don't like guitars with f-holes), congrats on the purchase. might want to wipe off all those fingerprints, though ;)

Love the 339. How are the stock pickups?

Good point... now get on with it!! Oh yeah, the finger marks don't look good on such a sweet guitar.... can you play wearing gloves?

Nice one, Stu! :D
Now we have to work on collecting the other two colours!
-
Last year,i tried to find one in Europe but...nothing.So,i stopped looking :?You're lucky!Enjoy!(Is it the 60's neck or the 50's one?)
-
Congratulations- that is a great choice.

Lovely!

Maybe not that caramel burst one! You enjoying yours Phil?
Rock pig. The stockies are lovely, bright at the bridge and smooth at the neck!
Viking. This is the 50s neck, I tried a les Paul to get the feel of the 60s one, but it was too thin.
Played almost all yesterday, I'm an official semi hollow convert!
-
Very nice. Woudn't I have gone for the McCarty, this would've been on top of my list!

Lovin' it! I've played it every day since I bought it (maybe only a few minutes at a time though, I haven't started actually practicing or anything!! :P ).
On the subject of the neck, the alternative shape is the 30/60, which is supposed to be three-one-hundredths of an inch thicker than the usual '60s shape, so it feels a little bigger. From my experience Gibson don't seem to build neck shapes that consistently, so I'm a bit dubious, but I'd like to try one.
The '50s neck feels bigger than the "same" neck shape I've had on a couple of LPs in the past, but I really like it!

Oh yes ! :D
Another gem there ; no wonder you are 'stoked'. :)
The ' f ' hole fever is spreading ... 8)

Another beauty, great looking guitar. :D
How many NGD's is that for 2009 in here?
-
i put a bid on a corvus the other day... but sadly its not a new guitar day for me!!

They always get a bit too pricey. I'd like one too, but only if it was dirt cheap.

If the exchange rate still good i would have been in there - thats the thing pushing them up at the mo as most seem to be in the US
this yellow one took my fancy:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130296415081&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:GB:1123
still a pretty good selling price - i would have had it for £250
anyway - the point was even i feel like a new (non-WV) guitar day. Although i am currently thinking that may be a partsocaster 70's tele

Is that the one from World Guitars?

Upon closer inspection, its nice to see that that good old Gibson 'quality control' is still prevalent in my '3399'

No, that's not a mistake - the "ES-3399" means it has the '59 neck shape. The ones with the 30/60 neck just say
"ES-339" (apparently). :)

Ahh! That makes sense! You'd think they'd put a space in there or something so I wouldn't look like such a willy when I point it out!
